U.S. Navy Adm. Robert Burke, commander of Allied Joint Force Command Naples, returns a salute to leaders of rotational units deployed to Novo Selo Training Area, Bulgaria, during a demonstration of capabilities, on April 19, 2022. These rotational units are a part of V Corps, America's Forward Deployed Corps in Europe–works alongside NATO Allies and regional security partners, like Bulgaria, to provide combat-ready forces, execute joint and multinational training exercises, and retain command and control for all rotational and assigned units in the European theater. NSTA is a training facility operated by Area Support Group- Black Sea and hosts U.S. military personnel as part of the ongoing bilateral defense cooperation with Bulgaria under the terms of the 2006 U.S-Bulgaria Defense Cooperation Agreement.
