2nd Cavalry Regiment Operations Officer U.S. Army Maj. Ryan Mannina briefs the commander of Allied Joint Force Command Naples, U.S. Navy Adm. Robert Burke, during a visit at Novo Selo Training Area, Bulgaria, on April 19, 2022. 2 nd Cavalry Regiment is a part of V Corps, America's Forward Deployed Corps in Europe–works alongside NATO Allies and regional security partners, like Bulgaria, to provide combat-ready forces, execute joint and multinational training exercises, and retain command and control for all rotational and assigned units in the European theater. NSTA is a training facility operated by Area Support Group-Black Sea and hosts U.S. military personnel as part of the ongoing bilateral defense cooperation with Bulgaria under the terms of the 2006 U.S.-Bulgaria Defense Cooperation Agreement.
