Bulgarian Land Forces soldiers, assigned to the 42nd Mechanized Battalion, showcase weapons capabilities during a static display, on April 19, 2022, Novo Selo Training Area, Bulgaria. The U.S. continually supports our Bulgarian ally through engagements such as bilateral exchanges to improve partnership interoperability. NSTA is a training facility operated by Area Support Group Black Sea and hosts U.S. military personnel as part of the ongoing bilateral defense cooperation with Bulgaria under the terms of the 2006 U.S.-Bulgaria Defense Cooperation Agreement.
