Doug Jacobson, a professor of electrical computer engineering at Iowa State University, briefs Iowa National Guard and Kosovo Security Force leaders about the importance of cyber security capabilities during the school’s first international cyber competition on May 18, 2022. The Iowa Air National Guard’s 168th Cyberspace Operations Squadron partnered with the KSF and invited several educational institutions throughout Kosovo to participate virtually. ISU has hosted regular cyber competitions since 2005 to allow Iowa students across the state to test their knowledge under stress. The school recognized an opportunity in early 2022 to broaden the scope of the competition by collaborating with IANG and Kosovo cyber professionals. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Staff Sgt.
