Col. Todd Miller, operations group commander of the 132d Wing, Iowa Air National Guard, gives opening remarks during Iowa State University’s first international cyber competition on May 18, 2022. The Iowa Air National Guard’s 168th Cyberspace Operations Squadron partnered with the Kosovo Security Force and invited several educational institutions throughout Kosovo to participate virtually. The projection screen was a live feed of the teams who participated in Kosovo. ISU has hosted regular cyber competitions since 2005 to allow Iowa students across the state to test their knowledge under stress. The school recognized an opportunity in early 2022 to broaden the scope of the competition by collaborating with IANG and Kosovo cyber professionals. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Staff Sgt.
