U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Second Class James Allen, a diver assigned to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), tightens his mask prior to conducting dive operations during an underwater recovery mission in Wewak, Papua New Guinea, Aug. 31, 2022. DPAA personnel conducted an underwater excavation operation in an effort to find a U.S. aircraft crew lost over Papua New Guinea during World War II.
