U.S. Navy EOD1 Griffin Nosenzo, an explosive ordnance disposal technician assigned to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), passes sand bags to a local worker as part of an underwater recovery mission in Wewak, Papua New Guinea on Sept. 10, 2022. DPAA personnel arrived to conduct an underwater excavation operation in an effort to find a U.S. aircraft crew lost over Papua New Guinea during World War II.
