A volunteer Airman from Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, explains the proper way of completing a pull-up to a U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadet from Simon A. Sanchez High School, Guam, during the 2nd annual JROTC Fitness Challenge hosted at John F. Kennedy High School, Guam, Feb. 25, 2023. The challenge was created by Senior Enlisted Airmen from Andersen AFB to address the national rise of ROTC cadets losing their scholarships due to fitness related issues. The challenge provides a place for friendly competition between JROTC cadets and allows Airmen from Andersen and Sailors from Naval Base Guam to interact and mentor the cadets.
