With support from USAID’s Tunisia JOBS, MH Confection, a textile company in Monastir, Tunisia, continued operations and sustained six jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic. But when the pandemic hit, MH Confection lost a large batch of orders and struggled to source its raw material. USAID, through Tunisia JOBS, awarded the company a grant to withstand the difficult period, helping it cover operating costs and staff salaries. Now, the company’s sales have shot back up, and it plans to move to an even larger facility to accommodate this growth.
