Mr. Tim Disher, Director of International Programs, gave DPAA leadership a tour of the Crypt of John Paul Jones, a Revolutionary War Naval hero. His remains were brought to America in 1905 after 113 years in a Parisian cemetery founded by General Horace Porter, U.S. Ambassador to France, at the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md., Aug. 16, 2023.
DPAA leadership explored the U.S. Naval Academy campus, and held productive discussions with Mr. Tim Disher, Director of International Programs, and Dr. Maria (MJ) Pallotta, Director of the Center for Experiential Leadership Development (ELD), LEAD Division. Their focus: revitalizing the Midshipman Short Term Individual Augmentee (STIA) program for upcoming DPAA recovery missions.
