    During the campus tour, DPAA leadership were briefed on the United States Naval Academy's Stockton Center POW Remembrance Challenge, "Returned with Honor" which celebrated the 50th anniversary of Operation Homecoming. Which was the return of 591 American prisoners of war at the end of the of U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War, in Annapolis, Md., Aug. 16, 2023.

    DPAA leadership explored the U.S. Naval Academy campus, and held productive discussions with Mr. Tim Disher, Director of International Programs, and Dr. Maria (MJ) Pallotta, Director of the Center for Experiential Leadership Development (ELD), LEAD Division. Their focus: revitalizing the Midshipman Short Term Individual Augmentee (STIA) program for upcoming DPAA recovery missions.
