U.S. Air National Guard Senior Airman Jessica Reeves, a 146th Civil Engineer Squadron Emergency Management (146 CEX) member, puts on a gas mask while preparing to respond to a potential Chemical Biological Radiological or Neurological (CBRN) threat during an integrated exercise with the 146th Security Forces Squadron (146 SFS), under an alternate spoke of Operation Crisis Beach at the Oxnard College Fire Academy and the Ventura County Fire Department training center, Camarillo, California, Sept. 8-9, 2023. This exercise provided the 146 CEX Airmen training with the 146 SFS on how to clear a building and improve in close-quarter combat, but it also provided 146 CEX Airmen simulations on investigating, testing, and responding to possible CBRN agents in a contested environment.
