Members from 1st Combat Communications Squadron and Cross Functional Airlift Support Personnel team set up a roll tube antenna to provide long range line of site communication with aircraft conducting operations out of the drop zone and landing zone at 33rd Air Base, Poland, during Aviation Detachment Rotation 23-4, Sept. 18, 2023. Throughout the flight training deployment, the total force Airmen have exercised how to respond to scenarios such as GPS outages on aircraft, degraded communications between ground and aerial teams, providing quick and reliable aircraft maintenance to maximize flying capabilities, and maneuvering enemy ground attacks to aircraft.
