The only Army Reserve searchlight unit in the United States Army, Battery E, 29th Artillery, sights in an 8-million candle-power light during their proficiency tests at Camp McCoy, Wis., in the early 1950s where they participate in annual summer training during what was also a training period for Soldiers mobilizing for the Korean War at McCoy at that time.
