U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Linh Phan, a Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) short term individual augmentee (STIA) linguist, signals a local worker assisting DPAA with an excavator to stop digging during a DPAA recovery operation in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, March 12, 2024. DPAA investigative and recovery teams work closely with local workers in order to efficiently and effectively excavate sites in hopes of finding answers regarding the location of our missing personnel.
