Vy Nguyen, a Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) short term individual augmentee (STIA) linguist, stands ready to signal a local worker assisting DPAA with an excavator to move during a DPAA recovery operation in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, March 16, 2024. DPAA investigative and recovery teams work closely with local workers in order to efficiently and effectively excavate sites in hopes of finding answers regarding the location of our missing personnel.
