SILVERDALE, Wash. (March 26, 2024) - Students from Ridgetop Middle School look towards the sky to watch the rockets they have successfully launched. Rocket launches take place the last week of each quarter, wrapping up the students’ Introduction to Engineering class. Volunteers from Strategic Weapons Facility-Pacific's participate in Rocket Launches every school quarter at Ridgetop and partner with the school to teach other Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics learning activities throughout the year. SWPFAC is the command dedicated to assembling, maintaining, and storing TRIDENT II D5 Missiles and deploying them on fleet ballistic missile submarines. We are devoted to serving our nation by providing safe, secure, credible, and affordable sea-based missile systems. (U.S. Navy Photo by Chani Wenning/Released)
