(March 26, 2024) - Kevin Durig (left), a Physical Security Specialist at Strategic Weapons Facility-Pacific (SWFPAC) based in Bangor, Washington assists a student from Ridgetop Middle School prepare his rocket to be launched, while another student launches their rocket in the foreground. SWFPAC Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Volunteers participate in Rocket Launches every school quarter at Ridgetop Middle School. SWPFAC is the command dedicated to assembling, maintaining, and storing TRIDENT II D5 Missiles and deploying them on fleet ballistic missile submarines.
