    100th Air Refueling Wing

U.S. Air Force Col. Ryan Garlow, 100th Air Refueling Wing commander, wears an authentic U.S. Army Air Force European Theatre of Operations (ETO) jacket, manufactured in the UK for US personnel, at Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England, March 8, 2024. The jacket was originally worn and owned by Capt. Philip Parsons, 735th Bomb Squadron pilot, 453rd Bomb Group, Old Buckenham, Norfolk, England. Parsons later became a lead pilot within the group and earned the Distinguished Flying Cross, and Air Medal with five oak leaf clusters. Garlow also wore his own current-day wings and career field badge. Garlow’s World War II uniform pants were originally owned and worn by Capt. Mike Benarcik, also a 453rd Bomb Group pilot, who was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, and Air Medal with five oak leaf clusters.
