U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Reuben James, from Fredrick, Md., tries on traditional Qatari clothing at Camp As Sayliyah, on April 10. U.S. troops were able to discover a deeper understanding of Arab-Islamic life in the Middle East during a two-day cultural event on, April 10 and 11. "We can read about these customs but you understand it more by interacting with the people," said James. Qatar International Adventures supplied most of the Arabic atmosphere and educational experience, to include camels, falcons, tents, clothing, beverages, food and henna body art. Local nationals provided explanations and guidance into their time-honored traditions.
