A rescue scuba specialist with Air Rescue Squadron 71, Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF), detaches from a JASDF US-2 aircraft while demonstrating drills for U.S. Marines and Sailors with Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 12, 1st Marine Air Wing (MAW), III Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF), MAG-13, 3rd MAW, I MEF, and Carrier Air Wing 5, Carrier Strike Group 5, Flagship USS Ronald Reagan, on the Pacific Ocean, June 26, 2024. Marines and Sailors observed JASDF personnel as they performed search and rescue, disaster relief, and touch-and-go drills.
