Capt. Benjamin Grice, commander of 510th Human Resource Company, practices employing and recovering an M18A1 Claymore Mine during the weapon lane of the Expert Infantryman Badge, Expert Soldier Badge, and Expert Field Medical Badge (E3B) training at Fort Drum, New York, from Sept. 16-29, 2004. To receive a GO at this station, he must correctly position and arm the mine, destroy the target area, and then correctly recover an unfired Claymore mine safely, all while following proper procedures with no safety violations or mistakes in sequence.
