Jeff Coker, associate dean with the Culinary Institute at Salt Lake Community College introduces the student and Soldier teams to the Culinary Competition in Sandy, Utah Nov. 9, 2024. The event was held with Soldiers of the 1896th Quartermasters Platoon, Utah National Guard, and students of the Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) Culinary Institute; participants exercised their cooking capabilities in a challenging and fast paced environment; the competition built stronger relationships between the Utah National Guard and the SLCC Culinary Institute.
