U.S. Army Capt. Matt Jensen, former commander of the 1896th Quartermaster Platoon, and Lt. Col. Jon Richardson, Commander of 97th Troop Command, Utah Army National Guard give Jeff Coker, Associate Dean of the Culinary Institute at Salt Lake Community College a plaque in the shape of a cutting board as a sign of appreciation for holding the 2024 Veterans Day Culinary Competition in Sandy, Utah, Nov. 9, 2024. The event was held with Soldiers of the 1896th Quartermasters Platoon and students of the Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) Culinary Institute. Participants exercised their cooking capabilities in a challenging and fast paced environment and built stronger relationships between the Utah National Guard and the SLCC Culinary Institute.(U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt.
