Gold Star mother, Mille Harris, and her grandson, Tyler Harris, both from Morris, Illinois, discuss the missing-in-action, prisoner of war, and fallen comrade table. They honor her fallen son, U.S. Army Sgt. Joshua Harris, at the Annual Saint Barbara's Day Ball held at the Double Tree Suites in Downers Grove, Illinois, Dec. 7, 2024. Sgt. Joshua Harris was killed in action on Sept. 17, 2008, in Gerdia Seria, Afghanistan. The battalion's Gold Star Families attend the ball each year as a way to stay connected to their fallen hero's unit and to celebrate the unit's accomplishments.
