YIGO, Guam (Jan. 21, 2024) - Under supervision from the Office in Charge of Construction (OICC), crew members prep for a crane lift during a load test conducted in January.
Cranes are among the most potentially lethal pieces of equipment on a construction site. Construction on Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz involves more than twenty cranes in operation on a daily basis.
The Office in Charge of Construction (OICC) Marine Corps Marianas is responsible for ensuring that each crane and crew undergo load testing before using a crane for regular project work.
