FINEGAYAN, Guam (Jan. 22, 2025) - Staff with the Office in Charge of Construction (OICC) Marine Corps Marianas (MCM) walk through a Bachelor Enlisted Quarters nearing completion to check the quality of the recently installed floor.
Before a building can be delivered to the end user, OICC MCM staff enter an extensive closeout phase known as the 'Red Zone'. The Red Zone phase is a collaborative process between contractors, sub-contractors, and construction managers. In the Red Zone, contractors, engineers, and experts from key aspects of the building design will walk the project site together to check their work. The collaboration helps to ensure the construction contract specifications have been met and resolve any issues.
