An Officer with OICC MCM Checks the Installation of HVAC Equipment on Camp Blaz

FINEGAYAN, Guam (Jan. 22, 2025) - Lt. Sean Morrissey with the Office in Charge of Construction (OICC) Marine Corps Marianas (MCM) together with the Safety Manager Johnny Cruz, examine ductwork installed on a building nearing completion on the new Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz.

Before a building can be delivered to the end user, OICC MCM staff enter an extensive closeout phase known as the 'Red Zone'. The Red Zone phase is a collaborative process between contractors, sub-contractors, and construction managers. In the Red Zone, contractors, engineers, and experts from key aspects of the building design will walk the project site together to check their work. The collaboration helps to ensure the construction contract specifications have been met and resolve any issues.
