A Connecticut Air National Guard airman walks around the 103rd Airlift Wing’s Centennial Heritage C-130H Hercules transport aircraft following a deployment ceremony at Bradley Air National Guard Base, East Granby, Connecticut, March 1, 2025. In honor of the 324th Fighter Group, which later became the 103rd Fighter Group (predecessor to the 103rd Airlift Wing), the tail of the aircraft features invasion stripes which were painted on Allied aircraft during Operation Overlord and Operation Dragoon to aid in identification and prevent friendly fire incidents.
