The insignia of the 103rd Airlift Wing decorates the Connecticut Air National Guard’s Centennial Heritage C-130H Hercules transport aircraft rests parked outside a hangar at Bradley Air National Guard Base, East Granby, Connecticut, March 1, 2025. Connecticut Militia Captain Joseph Wadsworth is depicted in the center of the insignia safeguarding the Connecticut Charter, a document which gave the Connecticut Colony the authority to self govern, from Governor Edmund Andros, who was attempting to seize the document on orders from King James II of England. Above Wadsworth is a sequence of Morse code which translates to the letters "F-E-A". This stands for Fidelis Et Alertus or Faithful and Alert, the motto of the Connecticut Air National Guard, in Latin. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Matthew Lucibello)
