Col. Mathew Trollinger, the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit commanding officer, and Sgt. Maj. Ronald Green, the I Marine Expeditionary Force sergeant major, salute during the playing of the national anthem as part of the 11th MEU’s Marine Corps Ball ceremony here Nov. 9. Every year, Marines all around the world host a Marine Corps Ball celebrating the day the Marine Corps was first established. Green served as the MEU’s guest of honor for the evening.
