Ronald Green, the I Marine Expeditionary Force sergeant major, stand at attention awaiting the birthday cake as part of the 11th MEU’s Marine Corps Ball ceremony here Nov. 9. Every year, Marines all around the world host a Marine Corps Ball celebrating the day the Marine Corps was first established. Traditionally, a birthday cake is prepared and presented to the commanding officer, guest of honor and the oldest and youngest Marines present.
