Marines with the 11th Martine Expeditionary Unit escort the birthday cake as part of the 11th MEU's Marine Corps Ball ceremony here Nov. 9. Every year, Marines all around the world host a Marine Corps Ball celebrating the day the Marine Corps was first established. During the ceremony, designated Marines, including the oldest and youngest Marines present, escort the cake to the commanding officer and guest of honor.
