Martial arts instructors introduced recruits of Delta Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, to the basics of the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program on Feb. 11, 2014, on Parris Island, S.C. The recruits learned about the different belt levels in the program, including the tan belt, which is the program’s first belt level and one all recruits must earn to graduate. The program fuses hand-to-hand combat skills with character development, yielding a strong, mentally sound Marine warrior. Delta Company is scheduled to graduate May 2, 2014. (Photo by Cpl.
