Recruits of Delta Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, respond to a command given by a Marine Corps martial arts instructor during their introduction to the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program on Feb. 11, 2014, on Parris Island, S.C. This was the recruits’ first martial arts session where they learned standard class-time procedures and the proper basic fighting stance. The program fuses essential hand-to-hand combat skills with character development. Delta Company is scheduled to graduate May 2, 2014. (Photo by Cpl. Octavia Davis)
