First Lt. Michael Miller, front left, operations officer of the tactical operations center of the 101st Special Troops Battalion and Capt. Johnathon Butler, second left, also an operations officer of the 101st STB TOC, are doused in water by their fellow competitors, while receiving their trophies after winning a functional fitness competition, held at Roberts International Airport, Monrovia, Liberia, Dec. 24, 2014. The functional fitness challenge included a series of physical exercises that competitors from various units deployed in Liberia needed to complete in less than 20 minutes. Miller and Butler completed the competition with the fastest combined completion time and most points earned after executing 45 extra thrusters. This was just one of many events held across the JFC-UA area of operations that provided service members a unique opportunity to celebrate the holiday season. Operation United Assistance is a Department of Defense operation in Liberia to provide logistics, training and engineering support to U.S. Agency for International Development-led efforts to contain the Ebola virus outbreak in western Africa.
