Gary Volesky, left, commander of Joint Forces Command – United Assistance, re-enlists a Soldier attached to the 36th Engineer Brigade based out of Fort Hood, Texas, Dec. 25, 2014, National Police Training Academy, Paynesville, Liberia. Volesky visited NPTA, as well as other camps spread across Liberia, to wish Soldiers a merry Christmas and to congratulate them for their service in support of Operation United Assistance. United Assistance is a Department of Defense operation in Liberia to provide logistics, training and engineering support to U.S. Agency for International Development-led efforts to contain the Ebola virus outbreak in western Africa.
