SAN DIEGO (April 8, 2015) Sailors man the helm and lee helm in the pilot house aboard Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) during sea and anchor detail. Essex is underway participating in a certification exercise (CERTEX) with the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), which is comprised of Amphibious Squadron (PHIBRON) THREE and 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU).
