150408-N-AD372-870 WATERS SOUTH OF THE KOREAN PENINSULA, (April 8, 2015) Sailors from the mine countermeasure ship USS Chief (MCM 14) use a rigid hull inflatable boat (RIB) to switch positions of two Mine Neutralization Vehicles (MNV) during mine sweeping training in waters south of the Korean peninsula. Chief is currently participating in Exercise Foal Eagle 2015, a series of annual training events that are defense-oriented and designed to increase readiness and maintain stability on the Korean Peninsula while strengthening the Republic of Korea – U.S. alliance and promoting regional peace and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
