SAN DIEGO (April 8, 2015) Marines conduct electrical maintenance on an MV-22 Osprey from the “Greyhawks” of Marine Medium Tilitrotor Squadron (VMM) 161 (Reinforced) on the flight deck of Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). Essex is underway participating in a certification exercise (CERTEX) with the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), which is comprised of Amphibious Squadron (PHIBRON) THREE and 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU).
