A U.S. Marine with 1st Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment loads a 110 mm mortar into the firing tube April 26, during Exercise Balikatan 2015 at Crow Valley, Philippines. The 110 mm mortar is a long range weapon used to support ground troops. Balikatan is an annual bilateral training exercise with the Philippines aimed at enhancing readiness, military-to-military relations, territorial defense, humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations.
