    Philippine Army Master Sgt. Doseluer D. Melchur, front right, teaches U.S. Marines stick-fighting techniques April 28 at Camp O'Donnell during exercise Balikatan 2015 as part of a martial arts exchange. Melchur is a sixth-degree black belt in mixed martial arts and competes in competitions in the Philippines. He was recruited to be the chief mixed martial arts instructor for the Philippine Army. Balikatan is an annual bilateral training exercise with the Philippines aimed at enhancing readiness and military-to-military relations, territorial defense, humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations.
