SAN DIEGO (July 29, 2015) – Logistics Specialist 1st Class Kayla Williams trains Logistics Specialist Seaman Joseph Nash to review invoices for inventory verification aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). America is currently undergoing a Post-Shakedown Availability (PSA) in which the ship’s crew and contractors make repairs and improvements to the ship’s design. Every new ship conducts a PSA that is designed to harness results of a thorough test and evaluation period and pave the way to operational employment.
