Staff Sgt. Jonathan Lopez, tandem parachutist/videographer, Tandem Team, U.S. Army Parachute Team, “Golden Knights” takes a moment before jumping from the “Golden Knights” UV-18A Twin Otter aircraft in Ottawa, Ill., Aug. 12. Lopez was one of several team members who additionally functioned as a videographer to capture tandem jumps there. Fourteen residents from the Chicago land area were selected to participate in a tandem jump with the "Golden Knights." Participants jumped from a height of 13,000 feet at Sky Dive Chicago. The Golden Knights, based at Fort Bragg, N.C., offered local Chicago land educators, media and government officials the opportunity to experience jumping from a plane, rushing 2.5 miles to the ground at 120 miles per hour.
