Drill instructors of Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, yell at a recruit for not following directions during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program session at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Nov. 30. Drill instructors walk around during the training process to make sure each recruit is using the correct technique. Recruits can ask the drill instructors questions if they don’t understand how to properly execute a technique. Today, all males recruited west of the Mississippi are trained at MCRD San Diego. The depot is responsible for training more than 16,000 recruits annually. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate Jan. 29.
