A recruit of Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, conducts a counter to a headlock during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program session at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Nov. 30. Recruits learned each technique step-by-step before trying it with their partner. Being able to properly execute each technique is crucial, especially when they take the MCMAP test later on in training. Today, all males recruited west of the Mississippi are trained at MCRD San Diego. The depot is responsible for training more than 16,000 recruits annually. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate Jan. 29.
