Drill instructors of India Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, quiz a recruit on his knowledge during a series commander inspection at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Feb. 8. The inspections can be stressful at times and recruits tend to forget answers to the knowledge questions. Recruits take part in a series of classes to learn about such things as the history of the Marine Corps and uniform standards. Annually, more than 17,000 makes recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. India Company is scheduled to graduate March 11.
