Cadet Rebecca Cook from Gulfport High School in Mississippi, looks at her monitor during the 2016 JROTC National Air Rifle Championship in Anniston, Ala., on March 19. Gulfport High School is a Marine Corps affiliate and one of the 73 schools that sent 56 teams as well as numerous individual shooters representing the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps air rifle teams for all four U.S. Forces. Teams and individuals shot their way through various local and regional competitions in order to qualify for this culminating event. Each shooter has a screen that allows them to see where their shots hit on the small target some 10 meters (33 feet) away.
