A destroyed Japanese machine gun lies abandoned in a bunker near invasion beach March 20 on Iwo To, Japan. Many destroyed bunkers still remain on the island as a reminder of the Battle of Iwo Jima, which took place here 71 years ago. This bunker still clearly shows the fighting that took place.
