FORT HOOD, Texas — Soldiers of the 510th Route Clearance Platoon, 20th Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade use the Medium Mine Protected Vehicle, Type II (MMPV II) interrogation arm to remotely look into a training building without Soldiers having to dismount the vehicle. The arm provides the vehicle crew the ability to interrogate and manipulate suspected hazardous items during their clearance mission. The U.S. Army Operational Test Command gathers data from Soldiers operating the gear to determine whether or not the system meets the needs of a route clearance company’s mission.
